We are building for the Nobel Laureate from Berlin

Congratulations to Prof. Peter Hegemann and his research team on being awarded the 2026 Nobel Prize in Medicine!

We are proud to be contributing, through our construction management role for the new Optobiology building at Humboldt University of Berlin (HU) and Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin, to the creation of the future scientific home for precisely this leading interdisciplinary research group.

Our team has been working on behalf of the lead consultant, agn, since 2025. We draw up the tender documents and oversee the awarding of contracts for the construction works. On site at Campus North, our site supervision team monitors and coordinates the construction work – we are currently overseeing the completion of the excavation pit, before the structural work is due to begin shortly.

“You have to do research because you enjoy it. Otherwise, it won’t work,” Prof. Peter Hegemann explained to RBB in a recent interview, outlining his key motivation – and we wholeheartedly agree: we enjoy being involved in projects like this and contributing to their success with our expertise and know-how.
